Sad news
We received sad news of the death of Pamela Hurtt, wife of Harry Hurtt (ASL 1957-85) and mother of Elizabeth and Darrell. Pamela was on vacation in Cornwall after making a good recovery from a recent illness. Her death from a heart attack was unexpected. Pamela had a long association with ASL, including several years as a library aide in the Lower School, and was a beloved member of our community.

If you would like to be in touch with Harry and his family, they may be contacted at 101 Eltham Road, London SE12 8UG or at Enniscrone, West Rae Road, Polzeath, Cornwall PL27 6ST.

A funeral and wake will be held in Cornwall on Wednesday, 16 July, at the Glynn Valley Crematorium at 12.30 pm followed by a wake and celebration of Pamela's life at Carruan Farm Centre from 2.30 pm onwards.

There will also be a service and wake held in London at a later date. Anyone wishing to be kept informed of details should forward their email address to Elizabeth Hurtt, fofmbm@zip.com.au.

A tribute to Mr. Millman

Please join in a special project to recognize Keith Millman! One of Mr. Millman's colleagues, Stephan Potchatek, is working with a group of students to make a short film which honors Mr. Millman's legacy to ASL and to English language and literature. They hope to meet with ASL alumni on Friday, 23 May or Saturday 24 May in the development conference room for short video interviews. If you are interested in participating, please email Stephan_Potchatek@asl.org to discuss a schedule.
